The cost of a counseling session at Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC varies based on the type of service you require. Currently, a 45-50 minute session is $165.00. In addition, Bright Horizon Counseling Center offers a sliding scale fee option. Please refer to the insurance page/SEL page for service fees.

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC is happy to verify your insurance benefits and let you know if you have a copay or deductible, as well as what your session cost will be. If you prefer, you can also contact your insurance directly by calling the number on the back of your card and asking about coverage for “outpatient mental health benefits.” This ensures you know exactly what your plan covers before your sessions begin. 

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC uses Thrizer to support clients with out-of-network insurance plans. Our team can assist you in obtaining benefit information to better understand what your specific plan covers.

Through Thrizer, we can help access details about your out-of-network benefits. You may also contact your insurance provider directly to ask about your “out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health benefits.”

Depending on your insurance plan, clients may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement of out-of-pocket costs when using out-of-network benefits. For more information, please refer to the insurance page.

A typical counseling session at Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC lasts for 50 minutes, although some sessions may be longer or shorter depending on your needs and preferences.

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC help with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, grief and loss, socialization and communication skills, school related behaviors and concerns, coping skills, and self-regulation skills. 

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC strives to make the paperwork process as smooth as possible. You may start the intake paperwork before your first session, or we can complete it together during your visit. If you begin the paperwork beforehand, we will review it together through conversation to ensure clarity and understanding. After completing the intake, we will collaborate with you to create a personalized treatment plan that best meets the needs of your child or family. 

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC will provide a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) class registration form before your session begins. We are happy to answer any questions or discuss concerns either over the phone or in person to ensure you feel confident and informed before your child’s participation. 

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC offers Parent Educational Groups for parents and caregivers. These sessions provide guidance, support, and strategies for fostering social-emotional growth in children. Groups are held either in person at our St. Clair Shores office conference room or virtually for your convenience. 

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC is committed to honoring your wishes. If you choose to end services, we will make every effort to schedule a final session prior to termination to support a thoughtful and smooth transition. 

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC understands that schedule changes and illnesses may occur. Please provide 24–48 hours notice for appointment cancellations by emailing support@bhcounselingcenter.com or calling Bright Horizons Counseling Center at 586-255-1427. Appointments cancelled with less than 24-48 hours notice, or missed appointments without notice, may be subject to a late cancellation/no-show fee of $50, as this time cannot be offered to another client.  

Bright Horizons Counseling Center, LLC understands that emergencies and unpredictable illnesses can occur. These situations will be taken into consideration when appointments are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
